Ours is a community of fellowship, service and compassion.
| The need to belong, love and feel loved is primary, and in the end, it is people and relationships that make a society work. We are dedicated to empowering older adults to lead creative, productive, meaningful and independent lives, and to live safely in their own homes as long as possible. We serve both the active and the homebound in the McLean, Arlington and Falls Church communities. In doing so we partner with professionals, volunteers, caregivers and care receivers to create enrichment for the dependent care receiver and respite for the caregiver. |
We help members to lead purposeful lives with new sources of meaning and joy.
We have begun the Shepherd’s Center through the efforts of a small group of dedicated individuals from several congregations with a goal of widening the circle of people who have a new vision of aging. We supply resources, encouragement and friendship along with information and referral, and will also develop a spectrum of new programs in the near future. Both seniors and volunteers of all ages are needed - and profoundly valued. All services are offered at no cost and include, but are not limited to:
